Senator Suzanne Chun Oakland to speak at The Interfaith Alliance Hawai‘i 14th Annual Awards Celebration Dinner

The Interfaith Alliance Hawai‘i is pleased to announce its 14th Annual Awards Celebration Dinner on Sunday, October 23, 2014 at the Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin Social Hall from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. The featured speaker is Senator Suzanne Chun Oakland whose public service spans many years and important causes. She served in the Hawaii Legislature since 1990 (House: 1990-1996; Senate: 1996-2016) and has been a leader with political courage and fortitude. This year’s theme, “It’s Not My Problem: Taking Responsibility in an Irresponsible World,” examines the importance of learning personal and social responsibility. Sparks of Hope awards will recognize community members who have stepped up to responsibility.

There is no charge for dinner, but space is limited and reservations (free) are required.
