New Vicar Called

The Search and Bishop’s Committees, with Bishop Robert Fitzpatrick’s approval, are delighted to announce their unanimous decision to call the Rev. John Anson Hau’oli Tomoso to become the 5th Vicar of Trinity Episcopal Church by the Sea!

Fr. John is familiar to many of you as he frequently served at Trinity during his six months as a Deacon and, since his Ordination to the Priesthood, he has faithfully served among our Supply Clergy roster – celebrating the Eucharist, performing Baptisms, presiding at Memorial Services and Marriages, visiting the homebound, and creating/presenting educational Zoom Workshops.

He will officially start as of September 1st!

Fr. John follows in the footsteps of Trinity’s founding Vicar, Reverend Norman Ault, Reverend Ault was succeeded by Reverend Morley Frech, then Reverend Austin Murray, then Reverend Bruce DeGooyer.

We welcome Fr. John with open and loving arms as our new spiritual leader!

“Gracious God, the ‘ohana of Trinity by the Sea have come before you asking that your providence and wisdom would bring them a new Vicar. We give thanks that in your great love you have sent forth your servant Hau’oli. Bless him in his ministry with and to us and together may we shape our worship and service to be in accordance with your will. Amen
